We Saw A Vision

今天早上天氣不錯
比起昨天的颳風下雨好多了
決定出去走一走

離住處不遠有一個小公園
叫作Garden of Remembrance
讓我覺得驚艷


公園是紀念愛爾蘭爭取獨立自由的犧牲者
園中有一雕像 取自他們的神話故事
the Children of Lir轉變為天鵝
象徵再生與復活

在牆上有首詩寫的相當好
全文如下


We Saw A Vision


In the darkness of despair we saw a vision,
We lit the light of hope,
And it was not extinguished,

In the desert of discouragement we saw a vision,
We planted the tree of valour,
And it blossomed

In the winter of bondage we saw a vision,
We melted the snow of lethargy,
And the river of resurrection flowed from it.

We sent our vision aswim like a swan on the river,
The vision became a reality,
Winter became summer,
Bondage became freedom,
And this we left to you as your inheritance.

O generation of freedom remember us,
The generation of the vision.

公園中央是一個十字架形的水池
有一對野鴨在池上悠游著



整個公園不大 擺設也相當簡單
但散發著一種迷人的丰采

今晚的福音恰巧提到耶穌治好一胎生的瞎子
耶穌向他說 你信人子嗎?
那人答說 主,是誰,好使我去信他?
耶穌對他說 你已看見他,和你講話的就是!
